Willard D. Allison, 93, of Quakertown, formerly of Souderton, died Tues. June 17th at Phoebe Richland Health Care. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Tamaskia) Allison and the late Mae (Bergey) Allison. He was a crane operator for Bethlehem Steel for 34 years prior to his retirement in 1978. Born in Quakertown, he was a son of the late Lewis and Florence (Detweiler) Allison. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ridge Valley. Willard served in the U.S. Army, 2nd Ranger Battalion during WWII. He taught Pennsylvania Dutch at Quakertown High School. He was a member of the Grundsow Lodge, Tylersport. Surviving are his son, Eric, wife Karen, of Quakertown; daughters, Nancy Esposito, of Perkasie, and Linda Horne, husband John, of Macungie; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; brother, George "Hank", wife Margie, of Quakertown; and his beloved dog and companion, Happy Sox. He was predeceased by a son, William. Services will be held 11:00 AM Fri. June 20th, in St. John's Lutheran Church - Ridge Valley, 910 Allentown Rd., Sellersville. Call 10-11:00 AM at the church.
