Warren Daniel Skuret

     On October 18, 2023, Warren Daniel Skuret, age 84, of Palm, PA, passed from this earth into the glory and grace of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was the husband of Katherine (Casey) Smith Skuret with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.  Born in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Sekula Skuret.

     Warren graduated in 1959 with a BA in music from Montclair State College.  In 1965, he earned his Master’s in Music Education and Administration from Columbia University.

     He began his calling to education as a Middle School and High School music teacher in several public schools over the course of many years.  In 1979, his calling was refocused to Administration as he became the principal of Upton Lake Christian School in Clinton Corners, NY.  He and his family later moved to Cherry Hill, NJ, in 1991, where he was principal of The Kings Christian High School. From 2005 until his retirement in 2012, he served as principal of Salem Christian School in Macungie, PA. 

     Warren enjoyed reading, listening to classical music, singing, playing his piano (for which he was well known), fixing things around the house, gardening, the outdoors, and camping.

     He will be remembered above all else as a godly man, but also for his passion for his family, his friends, his calling as a Christian educator, and for his work helping to protect the unborn.

     Survivors include, in addition to his wife; two daughters, Erin Steenburgh (Matthew) of Concord, VA, and Kristen Barker (Michael) of Barto, PA; five grandchildren, Nicole Andrews (Seth), Rachel Anthony (Michael), Emily Barker, Eli Barker, and Wes Barker; and one great-grandson, Isaac Andrews.  He was predeceased by his sister, Arlene Skuret.
