Wanda Slovinac

Wanda Wheitsel Slovinac, 51, of Quakertown, passed away suddenly on August 26 at St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. She and Bill Slovinac had celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June. Born in Newport, RI, Wanda was the daughter of Herbert L. and the late Joan R. (Weidenmoyer) Wheitsel. She was a graduate of Pinebrook Bible College. Wanda was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Merck and Co., in Upper Gwynedd, PA for 20 years. She previously worked for Webcraft/Vertis Co. in Colmar, PA. A devoted member of Hilltown Baptist Church, she served on the Technical Ministry Committee and Pastoral Search Committee. She was a former member of the North Penn Baptist Church, where she acted as Church Secretary. Wanda also served on the Ladies Auxillary of the VFW John Rivers Post, Quakertown. She is survived by husband Bill; father Herb; sister Brenda of Albany, OR; brother Patrick of North Wales, PA; nephews, Allen, Caden, Zachary, Mitchell and Lucas; niece Katie; and great nieces Hannah and Emma. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thurs. Sept 1 at Hilltown Baptist Church, 26 Upper Church Rd., Hilltown, PA. Call: 6-8:00 pm Wed. Aug. 31 and 10-11:00 am Thurs. in the church.
