Walton Whipple

Walton Burdette "Wally" Whipple, 95, of Quakertown and Naples, FL. after moving from New York state 26 yrs ago, died October 26, 2011 following an extended illness. Lt. Col. Whipple was proud to have served as an Air Force pilot and then reservist until 1976. He was a former member of Avon Central Church, Avon, NY where he had served as an Elder and attended St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Quakertown. Wally was a 32nd degree Mason and Past Master of Avon Springs Lodge F. & A.M. He is survived by his wife, Johanna, owner of the former Meyer's Restaurant, Quakertown and her children, Janet Bracalente, Gerald Meyers, Joseph Meyers; two daughters, D. Loren Whipple and Rhonda Higginbottom; and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Sun. Nov. 20 in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W.
