Walter R. Alcott, 77, of Quakertown died Mon. Jan. 3rd at Quakertown Center. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Sherdon) Alcott. Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late William J. and Irene (Morton) Alcott. He worked for Wilson Hardware, Lansdale in sales for 25 years before retiring. Previously he worked at former Windover Nursery, Montgomeryville for 25 years. He served with the U.S. Army. He attended St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Quakertown. Surviving: sons, James Schrader, Lansdale; Edward Schrader, wife Ann, Quakertown; Joel Alcott, wife Brenda, Coopersburg; Ralph Alcott, Quakertown; Gary Alcott, wife Donna, MD; daughters, Dolores Schrader, DE; Linda Kramer, husband Gary, Allentown; Deanna Diefenderfer, husband Scott, Quakertown; Andrea Santoso, Dwi, St. John, FL; 25 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren; brothers, George, FL.; Robert, wife Jane, Lansdale; Donald, Collegeville; sister, Louisa Hansen, husband Philip, Quakertown. Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sat, Jan. 8 at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Call: 2:00-3:00 PM Sat. Inter. Beulah Cemetery.
