Victor “Vic” Joseph Petrei Jr., 80, of Quakertown, PA, passed away on March 26th, 2024, at St. Luke’s Bethlehem Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in West Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Victor Petrei and the late Rita (Montone) Petrei.
Vic attended Overbrook High School in Philadelphia and then went on to continue his education at St. Joseph’s University. After college, Vic proudly joined the United States Navy and enjoyed the time he spent serving his country. After leaving the service Vic began his career as a machinist.
Vic’s passion for life extended well beyond his professional endeavors and he often showed this through his love of community involvement. He spent several years working with the Quakertown Soccer Club and was an integral part of starting their snack stand. He also helped with many of the Quakertown HS Band and Sports Fundraisers.
Vic was loved by so many people, and he made an enormous impact in every life he touched.
His incredible ability to make people laugh, feel at ease, and his infectious personality will be deeply missed. Vic will be remembered as the life of the party who always kept track of everyone’s football and horse racing bets. In his free time, Vic was an avid golfer and enjoyed time on the course with his family and friends. He loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them. His two Grandchildren, Joseph and Emily were the light of his life.
Vic will be dearly missed by his wife, Geraldine, together they shared 56 years of marriage; his children, Kimberlie Petrei (Michael Edwards) and Michele Holland (Greg Holland); his grandchildren, Joseph Gartner and Emily Holland; his sisters, Janice Fasciocco (Joe) and Mary Wagner (Ron); his nieces and nephews, Gina Jackson, Joseph Granato, Daniell Callahan, Steven Shefsky, Joe Fasciocco, Vincent Fasciocco, and Nick Fasciocco; along with his extended family members. Vic is predeceased by his twin sister, Rosemarie.
