Victor Kennedy Johnston, age 75, died Mon. July 20, 2020, at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem. Born May 31, 1945 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Frances (Kennedy) Johnston, and the beloved husband of Virginia (Capaldo) Johnston, to whom he was married 47 years. Soon after graduating from Upper Dublin High School in 1964, Victor started to work for Walter J. Coombs in Fort Washington, then Standard Press Steel in Jenkintown, and finally at the Yarway Corporation in Blue Bell. He continued to work at Yarway for 35 years until his retirement. Victor was an avid sportsman and had a great passion for hunting and fishing. He often spent his weekends enjoying the wilderness in upstate Pennsylvania. Victor also enjoyed collecting firearms and restoring classic cars. In addition to his wife, Victor is survived by: sons Michael Johnston and Victor K. Johnston, Jr. (wife Erin); grandchildren Ian and Shane Johnston; brother James Johnston; and sister Jane Johnston. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Thomas Johnston. A celebration of Victor's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thur. Aug. 6, 2020, at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A visitation time will precede from 5:00 PM until the time of service. Current health regulations regarding Covid-19 guidelines will be followed. Interment will be privately held at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.
