Tung Ly, PhD, age 72, of Quakertown died Friday Aug. 31 in his home following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Thu Vu for the past 45 years. Born in Nha Trang, Vietnam, he was a son of the late Tho Ly and Mui T. Nguyen. He worked as a research scientist in the agricultural industry for over two decades. Surviving with his wife are his sons, Binh Ly, wife Neliza of Quakertown and Chuong Ly, wife Mary Grace Galinato of Erie, PA and grandchildren Albert, Jasper, and Vinh Ly. He was predeceased by a son An Ly. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Friday Sept. 7 in the Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown with a calling hour preceding from 1:30 - 2:30 PM.
