Titus M. George, 89 of Quakertown died Sun. Nov. 30th at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Jeanette (Slotter) George with whom he celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on May 17th. Born in Newburg on May 17, 1925, he was the son of the late Wallace and Evelyn (Walker) George. He was a supervisor at American Olean Tile, Lansdale, for 31 years, retiring in 1978. He graduated from Quakertown High School, class of 1943. A veteran of WWII, he served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Force from 1943 to 1946, serving as a machine gunner on a B29. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 242, Quakertown. He enjoyed reading and repairing anything. He was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown. Surviving with his wife are sons, Barry of Allentown, Timothy, wife Sandy of Quakertown; daughter, Kathleen Jones, husband Terry of Quakertown; grandchildren, Christian, Tory, Eric, Mike and Kasey.; seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Wallace Jr. Services will be held 11:00 AM Fri. Dec. 5th at St. John's Lutheran Church, 19 S. 10th St., Quakertown, with a calling from 10:30-11:00 AM at the church. Interment at Quakertown Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown.
