Thomas L. Underwood, 58, of Quakertown, formerly of Downingtown, passed away Thurs. Feb. 4, in Doylestown Hospital following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the loving husband of Diane McIntyre Underwood. Born in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late Robert & Donna (Elliott) Underwood. He received a BS in Engineering from Penn State University and was currently employed by DRT, formerly AeroMed, Hatfield. Tom was a member of Lodge #446 F&AM, Mt Pickering where he was a Past Worshipful Master, a member of the Scottish Rite, and active member of the Hiram's Scottish Riders whose focus is charitable work for children afflicted with dyslexia. Surviving with his wife are his children Lauren Ney (husband, David) & Lee Sinkow; his children by marriage Nicole Gottlieb-Schmidt (husband, Jason), Melanie Gottlieb Bishop (husband, Chris) & Brett Gottlieb (wife, Jenna); grandchildren Daphne & Violet Ney; grandchildren by marriage Madison Hobbs, Landan Bishop, Harper & Reagan Gottlieb; brothers Robert (wife, Judy) & Bruce (wife, Marilyn); nephews Todd & Craig, nieces Lisa and Lesley. A memorial service will be held Sat. Feb. 13 at noon with a calling hour beginning at 11 AM at the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown.
