Thomas Largent

Thomas E. "Tom" Largent, 54, of Quakertown, passed away peacefully Monday, December 24 at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville. He had bravely battled colon cancer. Born in Sellersville, Tom was a son of Glen & Dorothy (Hunsburger) Largent of Quakertown. He was the loving fiancé of Michelle Boyle. Tom graduated from Pennridge High School in 1982. His long employment at Davis Meats made co-workers and customers like family. Tom also enjoyed working many years for Hatfield and Milford Townships. He was a member of Sellersville Moose Lodge. Tom enjoyed many things including: hunting, wood working, bowling, being outside, and football (Steeler's fan). But most importantly, he loved spending time with his extended family and friends. His grandson JP was the apple of his eye. Surviving with his parents are children: Rachael Largent of Bally, PA and Ethan Largent of Quakertown; grandson: JP Christy; siblings: Gwen, husband Ray Shaffer of Yardley and Dale, wife Judy Largent of Towanda, PA; many nieces & nephews and cousins. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 5 at Finland Mennonite Church, 1750 Ziegler Rd., Pennsburg with a calling period preceding from 10:00-11:00 am.
