Theodore John Potsko, age 86, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 21, 2024, at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Hazleton, PA, he was the son of the late John Potsko and the late Anna Dzurick Potsko.
Theodore graduated from Hazleton High School in 1955. He proudly served our country in both the United States Marine Reserve and the Air Force during peacetime. He was an engineer working in the Aerospace industry. He worked for Philco-Ford company, Ultronics Corporation, Applied Digital Communications, and Aydin Vector Division. After retirement he worked at Home Depot in the tool corral.
In the early 1950s he repaired radios and TVs and enjoyed building crystal radio sets. His career path had him manning radar sites on the Pinetree Line in Newfoundland and installing top secret equipment in Cheyanne Mountain in Colorado. He enjoyed woodworking and working in the tools department at Home Depot.
Survivors include two sons, Master Sergent Stephan Potsko and his wife, Maureen, of Quakertown; and Rev. Andrew John Potsko and his wife, Rachel, of Canal Folton, OH; one sister, Nancy Weiner, of Arvada CO; five grandchildren, Sarah Marvel (Chris), Katelyn Potsko, Eleanora Potsko, Lilliana Potsko, and Christian Snyder; and two great grandchildren, Sophie Campbell and Penelope Marvel. He was predeceased by a son Theodore Christian Potsko in 2006.
You are invited to visit with Theodore's family and friends from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. on July 19, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1565 Sleepy Hollow Rd, Spinnerstown, PA 18968. His life celebration memorial service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
