Terry J. "Pete" Piepmeyer, 58, of Macungie, departed his earthly residence for his permanent residence with Jesus Christ, his Savior, Friday, July 27 in Allentown. He was the loving husband of Kathy (Mathieu) Piepmeyer. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Robert & Phyllis (McCloud) Piepmeyer. Pete worked as a foreman for over 15 years for Benner & White Drywall Contractors, Harleysville. He was an active member of Hopewell Community Church, Pottstown where ‘Teapot' as he was called by the boys, served with the Trail Life ministry. Terry was an avid outdoor sportsman enjoying fishing & hunting. He was a very skilled mechanic in numerous areas. He loved refurbishing old small engines and used one to build his grandson a Go-Kart. Terry made his own canes from old vines when he needed one. He collected antiques with a focus on antique cap guns & toys. A devoted family man, he loved spending time with family. Surviving with his wife are his children Amy Moyer, partner Gene Evans, of Boyertown, Lynette Griswold, husband John Henkel, of Corpus Christi, TX, Tessa Piepmeyer, partner Brandon Reichley, of Pottstown and Sara Griswold of Macungie; grandchildren Amanda, Seth, Caleb, Konstance, Sophia, Micah, & Delaney: siblings Robert, Phyllis, Georgette, Debbie, Cindy, Ann, and Robin. He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria. A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 14, 7 PM in the Hopewell Community Church, Pottstown.
