Steven Parsons

Steven J. Parsons, 63, of Quakertown, PA, formerly of Oneonta, NY, died Sat. June 13th at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville. He was the husband of Linda (Davis) Parsons with whom he would have celebrated 44 years of marriage in October. He worked as a manager at 84 Lumber Co. for 30 years prior to his retirement. He currently worked as a service coordinator for Shelly's Enterprises/USLBM. Born in Sidney, NY, he was a son of Emma (Boschetti) Parsons of Oneonta, NY and the late Ernest Parsons Sr. A graduate of Oneonta High School, class of 1970, he was an outstanding athlete, lettering in football, basketball, and baseball. He attended Mohawk Valley Community College where he continued to play basketball. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Zion Hill. Surviving with his wife and mother are daughters, Kimberly Motts, husband Christopher of Quakertown and Lori Bender, husband David of Fallston, MD; grandchildren, Tyler, Hailey, Zachary and Zoey; brothers, Ernest Jr, wife Cheryl of Ventura, CA and Timothy, wife Elizabeth of Cooperstown, NY; sisters, Suellen Marmet, husband Jerry of Maryland, NY and Tina Crawford, husband Donny of Laurens, NY. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Fri. June 19th at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2966 Old Bethlehem Pike, Zion Hill, PA 18981. Friends and family may call from 9:00-11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church.
