Stanley R. Wilson, 84, of Quakertown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3rd at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown due to complication with pneumonia and early onset of leukemia. He was the beloved husband of Doris (Stoneback) Wilson, married for 63 years. Born in Princeton, NJ, he was a son of the late Clarence and Helen (Sommerville) Wilson. Stan grew up in Quakertown and graduated in 1949 from Quakertown High School. He went on to attend and graduate from Drexel University in 1953 with an undergraduate degree in business. After serving in the military, he joined W. M. Moyer Company, Quakertown and was the company treasurer for 37 years. He enjoyed 24 years of retirement traveling with his wife nationally and internationally. He enjoyed his ‘social' work-out time with friends at the local fitness center, tended to his vegetable/flower gardens and loved spending time with family and friends. He was an active member of First United Church of Christ, Quakertown for 67 years where he served as past president of church council, greeter and usher. Surviving with his wife are sons, Bruce (Thea) Wilson of Napa, CA, Dean (Beth) Wilson of Quakertown, Brett Wilson (Barry Edwards) of Emmaus, and Kent "Chip" (Lori) Wilson of San Diego, CA; daughter, Kim Wilson (Zac Reicher) of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Justin, Danielle, Luanne, Kyle, Ry, and Zane; and great granddaughter Cecily.
