Stanley J. Wiacek, age 73, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday August 22, 2021, at Abington Hospital - Lansdale in Lansdale, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA he was a son of the late Walter Wiacek and the late Pauline Childress Wiacek.
Stanley graduated from Cardinal Dougherty high school in 1966.
He proudly served our country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Early in his career he was a Police officer for the Philadelphia Police force. Later in his career he was a Security Officer for the Department of the Navy at the Navy Depot in Philadelphia. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).
He enjoyed playing chess with his brother, playing Mario Kart with Zachary, early morning breakfasts at Tate’s, and surprise bakery deliveries to his family.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Hosgood and her husband Tom of Sellersville, PA; one son, Zachary Wiacek of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Beverly Durkin and her husband Jim of North Carolina; grandchildren Stephen Horn and Samantha Mullins; a great-grandson Kaden Mullins; the mother of his children, Cheryl Wiacek; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Walter Wiacek Jr. and his sister Joanne Auerbach.
You are invited to visit with Stanley’s family and friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, Ltd, (1800-FUNERAL) 135 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951. A service celebrating his life will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
