Shirley Whitman

Shirley Ann Jett Whitman, 72, of Springfield Twp., passed away on Tues., June 7th at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of William Whitman for the past 54 years. Born in Sellersville, she was a daughter of the late Thaddeus and Florence (Faucett) Jett. Shirley was an LPN at LifeQuest Nursing Center for many years until her retirement. She was dedicated to "working in God's waiting room," and had a loving heart to guide her through nursing. She had tremendous love for her family and enjoyed a special camaraderie with her sisters and brother. She will also be missed by her dogs, Mikey and Moddy. With her husband, she is survived by daughters Lori (Jay) Whitman-Utter of Glenburn, ND and Sherri (Paula) Whitman of Freemansburg; grandchildren Derek, Matthew, and Brittanie; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Thaddeus (Karen) Jett; and sisters Kathy (Gary) Eckard, and Donna (Todd) Davies. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
