Shirley Mosser

Shirley Ann Mosser, 83, returned to her heavenly home on September 29, 2018. after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and family. Shirley was born to the late Walton and Mabel Detweiler of Plumsteadville, Pa. She graduated from Central Bucks High School and earned a B.S. in Education from Kutztown University. She was a public school teacher for the Central Bucks and Pennridge School Districts. Shirley sang in the Zion Choral Society for over 50 years and served on the board for many of those. She was a dedicated Sunday School teacher and she often opened her home to host missionaries. She was caring and generous to anyone who was in need. During her husband's stay at Phoebe-Richland Health Care Center, Shirley spent countless hours encouraging the other residents with words of life and companionship. She was married to her late husband, Stratton Mosser for 60 years. Shirley is survived by her son Steve, and his wife Nancy; her son Scott ,and his wife Beth. Shirley was a wonderful and dedicated Mom Mom to her seven grandchildren, Blake Mosser, Alexandra Mosser, Kendall Mosser, Jordan Mosser, Austin Mosser, Ian Mosser, and Madelyn Mosser She is also survived by her brother, Donald Detweiler; sisters Lois Orr and Carol Lee Stauff. The service will be held at Grace Gospel Chapel, 5582 Easton Rd, Plumsteadville, PA 18949 on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Calling hours are 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. with a Memorial service to be held at 10:30 a.m. and a luncheon to follow. Any donations will be accepted for Phoebe- Richland Home, 108 S.
