Sharon Lucille Martin, age 75, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 21, 2024, at home, surrounded by family. Loving Mother to her daughter, Chelsea, she devoted her life to raising her. Born in Bellefonte, PA she was a daughter of the late James C. Trostle and Rose B. (Eyer) Trostle of Pennsylvania Furnace, Pennsylvania. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James M. Trostle of Warriors Mark, Pennsylvania. She is survived by Chelsea Fonda (Daughter) and Jeffrey Fonda (Son-in-law). She a also survived by her beloved cat, Shanny "Kibby".
Sharon graduated from Tyrone Area High School in 1966. She was a life-long member of the Assembly of God Church. As the daughter of a Post-Mistress, she was raised in and worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. She loved the outdoors and traveling in her earlier years. In her early twenties, she daringly traveled alone on a cross-country road trip to California in her yellow Datsun and lived in Hawaii for several years.
She was strong-willed and independent. Her style was eccentric and eclectic, and she loved to express herself through a unique and colorful sense of style. She had a strong-willed personality and entertained those around her with her quirky wit and, at times, snarky commentary. She enjoyed writing and the arts. She loved to draw and paint. She enjoyed attending church and spending time walking with friends. She will be loved and missed by all that were privileged to know her.
