Written Apr 23, 2012 3: 19pm by Anthony Luna Dear Sean Vincent, God brought you into our lives at 10:52 a.m. this a.m. - immediately, you melted my heart ... but I knew somehow you would. Your eyes opened just for a brief moment, as if to say - daddy, mommy, I see you. By God's every grace and through His infinite mercy, Fr. Riegler was in the surgery room with us and by the hand of the Holy Spirit, we welcomed you into God's family through the Sacrament of Baptism (sorry about the splash on your little head little man: -) As you may know, mommy and I had time to kiss you and bless you within minute of your new life with us. When you met your brother and sisters - I hope the unending kisses and hugs were not too much. You seemed to take it all in stride and remain as peaceful as can be. Once again, through the prayers of so many, and by God's grace, you received a very special photo shoot from Edwin Davis, of Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep - while your brother Luke and Olivia doted allover you! There you were, less than an hour old and already, you accomplished so much! We held you Sean ... mommy, daddy, Luke, Olivia, Maggie Grace, she gave you one of her Maggie Grace special kisses as only a 20 month old can. Nye Nye, Lolo, Pop Pops and Aunt Linda held you and kissed you too. I found out that in addition to all of this, someone in our band of prayer warriors called Eternal World Television Network TV (EWTN) and asked for prayers for you live on air on the Women of Grace television show ... thank you to whoever made this happen. Amazing - such a short time on earth, and you managed to get yourself and mommy on National TV' : - ) You hung in there with us just enough to give Daddy and Mommy some much needed alone time with you Sean - thank you for that - thank you so much. As you got more and more tired, we prayed and held you even closer .... asking Jesus to take your hand and walk you over the bridge of the cross to heaven. We got your footprints in clay - and your brother and sisters got their hand print and your footprints in paint on canvas to savor forever - thank you Nurse Diane for this incredible act of kindness for which we will be forever grateful. Though you remained peaceful, I could tell you were getting tired, and it was time for us to give you our last prayers, kisses and hugs on earth and to say "see you kiddo - Jesus will take you from here and He will make you well Sean, and God willing, we will meet again in His kingdom together." You came into our lives for a short 1 hour and 45 minutes - yet you amazed us all and accomplished so much in such a small window of your lifetime ... despite your short lifetime, you have left an indelible mark on our hearts forever. Thank you to each and every one of you reading this and to those who you asked to pray for us - every ounce of every prayer was showered down upon us in our moment of need. Sweet dreams my boy - as your mommy said, you are our tiny little hero. We miss you little man, but we have every hope that the heavenly hosts of angels are blowing their trumpets and welcoming you in heaven with Jesus - healed and happy forever and ever. Amen. Love, Daddy
