Ruth Valentine

Ruth M. Valentine, 96 of Salfordville, died Tues., Sept 18 in LifeQuest Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Harry E. Valentine. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Susan (Weider) Madison. She was a graduate of Springfield High School, Delaware Co. and Pierce Business School. She worked as the head cashier of Lord & Taylor in Philadelphia for 15 years. She is survived by sons: Sonny, wife Lois, Pennsburg, Howard, wife Linda, Palm, daughters, Nancy Powers, husband Larry, Salfordville, Carol Myers, husband David, Green Lane, and Ruth Pocius, husband Wayne, Pennsburg, sister, Naomi Clark of Quakertown, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother John. Memorial service to be held Sat. Sept. 22 at Noon, in Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, Pennsburg. Calling 11am-Noon.
