Ruth Mohr of Milford Square, PA, passed away peacefully with family at her side at Belle Haven Nursing Home on February 8, 2017 at the age of 95. She was born Nov. 1, 1921 in Quakertown, PA. She was a loving daughter to Ada and Horace Boorse; devoted wife of 51 years to Paul Mohr, loving sister to Lowell Boorse, Anita Furness, and Carolyn Boorse; all deceased. She is survived by 16 nieces and nephews. Survivors: Ruth was a loving mother to Louise Butcher & husband Don, Linda Rice & husband Les, Becky Mosser, and Phillip Mohr & wife Lisa. She cherished her 7 grandchildren, Michelle Spieker, Krista Kunkle, Janene George, Mark Butcher, Ellen Lutz, Jack Mosser, Sarah Mohr, as well as her 15 great grandchildren (one deceased, Parker Lutz). As a faithful and long-time member of West Swamp Mennonite Church, Ruth served willingly as a deaconess, Sunday School teacher, directed a children's choir, sang in the adult choir, served as organist, and enjoyed times spent with her Tuesday knitting group. She volunteered at the GV Hospice for some years and also taught many piano students in her home for over 40 years. Memorial service will be held Sat., Feb. 11, 2017 at West Swamp Mennonite Church, 2501 Allentown Rd., Quakertown, at 12 noon with Pastor Kathy Yoder officiating. Friends are welcome to call at 11 am. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Grandview Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960 or the West Swamp Vision fund.
