Rosemary Gaier, née Anderson, formerly from Piqua, OH, passed away August 25 in Quakertown, PA. Rosemary was born in Troy, Ohio on May 18, 1930 to Adrian Anderson and Agnes (McKinney) Anderson. She resided in Chicago for a short period before returning to Troy and eventually to Piqua. She worked full time as a secretary at Wright-Patterson AFB in Xenia, Ohio for several senior generals, including Curtis LeMay. She became a legal secretary in Piqua and met and married John Richard Gaier, an attorney who practiced law in Piqua for 50 years. Rosemary lived her life as a homemaker caring for her five children, had a love of classical and pop music, and was an avid reader of history. Rosemary is survived by five children, John R. Gaier Jr. of Brookville, Indiana; David Gaier of Metuchen New Jersey; Grace Burns of Columbus, Ohio; Chris Gaier of Pensacola, Florida; and LtCol. Matt Gaier USMC and Lisa Clayton Gaier of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren, Kylee Gaier and Matthew Jacob "Jake" Gaier of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Melissa (Burns) Eckelbarger of Johnstown, Ohio, and Ashley Burns of Dublin, Ohio. The family plans a memorial service in January, 2015 in Piqua, OH when her ashes will be interred near J. Richard Gaier, who preceded her in death in 2003.
