Ronald Edward "Ronnie" Auer, age 65, died Friday, January 25, 2019 at Penn State Health - St. Joseph, in Reading. Born May 4, 1953 in Sellersville, Pa., he was the son of the late Orlando E. and Lillian M. (Shelly) Auer. Ronnie was a jack of all trades. Over the years, he was employed in various positions at a number of fabrication and manufacturing plants. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, search for treasures at flea markets and garage sales, and work on old cars. Most of all, he loved helping people, and was known by his friends and family for being quick to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Ronnie is survived by: daughters- Amanda M. Mattison; NiCole L. Auer; grandson, Gage Simons(son of NiCole); sister- Cathy M. Auer; uncle- Arthur R. Heist, Jr.; nieces- Jaime M., Kimberly M., and Marissa D. Dotzenroth and great-nephew Ethan D. Dotzenroth(son of Kimberly) and Bonnie K. Dunkleberger, girlfriend. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a nephew, James H. Dotzenroth, III. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, February 4, 2019, at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 1:30 PM until the time of services. Interment will be private and at the discretion of the family.
