Robert Swartz

Robert C. Swartz, 91 of Quakertown died Wednesday, June 13 in Masonic Village Elizabethtown. He was the husband of the late Helen J. (Shepard) Swartz He was a Supervisor, at the U.S. Gauge, Division Of Ametek, Inc., Sellersville for over 20 years before retiring. Previously he worked as a substitute teacher with the Quakertown School District Born in Trumbauersville, he was the son of the late Harvey D. and Eva (Hetrick) Swartz. He was a graduate of Quakertown High School class of 1939 and received a B.S. in education from University of PA He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown where he taught Sunday school, sang in the choir served as SS treasurer and served two terms on church council He served with the U.S. Army in Africa, Italy and France during World War II. He was a member and trustee with Quakertown Lodge #512 F. & A.M., Lehigh Consistory, Allentown, a member of Wallace Willard Keller American Legion #242, Quakertown, Forrest Lodge VFW, Sellersville, Paletown Rod & Gun Club and the Quakertown Senior Center Surviving: son: Barry R. (Noreen), Richlandtown,. daughter: Diane S. Dorn (Bruce) of Portland, OR, grandchildren:, Peter And Suzanne; Great Grandchildren: Alan Zaccery, Josh, Jacob, Joel, Christian, Elisandra Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 20 in St. John's Lutheran Church, 19 South 10th St., Quakertown. Interment in Hetrick Cemetery, Ridge Valley Visitation: 10 - 11 am, Wednesday , June 20 at the church Jeffrey A.
