Robert Glenn Rogers, 73, of Furlong, and recently Quakertown, passed away Wed., Sept. 28th at St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. Bob was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. He was the first son of the late George and Margaret (Thorsen) Rogers. He spent his youth in New Rochelle, NY where he attended grade school and high school. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965 and was stationed in Germany. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1967. Bob worked in petrochemical sales and management first for Sinclair Oil and primarily for Atlantic Richfield Oil Company. After leaving Atlantic Richfield, Bob went on to own and operate TransAmerica Printing, an offset printing business. Bob was a beloved father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed skiing, and he was an avid toy train enthusiast. At the center of his life were his children and grandchildren. Bob is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Rogers Patak, her husband Chris, Bob's grandchildren, Sydnee, Lea and Zoe Patak, all of Cornwall, NY; son, Jonathan Rogers and his partner, Kymberlie Mitman of Doylestown; and his brother Ronald Rogers of Connecticut. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM Sun., Oct. 9th at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A time of sharing will be held 2:00 PM.
