Robert E. Roberts, Sr., 85, of East Greenville, passed away at St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital early Tuesday, January 16. He was the loving husband of the late Mary M. (Carter) Roberts. Born in East Rockill, PA, on October 16, 1932, he was a son of the late William H. and Myrtle (Corum) Roberts. He was a graduate of Quakertown High School. Robert served with the US Army in Alaska during the Korean War. He worked as a brick mason for the former New Jersey Shale Brick Manufacturing Company in Somerville, New Jersey for many years before retiring. Surviving family member are: Children: Robert Roberts, Jr., late wife Flossie of Camden, DE; William Roberts, wife Dee Ann of East Greenville, PA and Tracey VanderWoude, husband Todd of Fort Worth, TX; Grandchildren: Jayson, Timothy, Taneka, Vanessa, Samuel, Jayson, Michelle, Cristina, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jasmine, Brandon and Tashina; along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Siblings: Anna Jones, Patricia Boyd, Loretta Lewis and Myrtle Colon. He was preceded in death by his daughters: Annette Odom and Rosemari Roberts; grandson Joshua Chobot; and brothers: Ralph, Granville, Richard and Silas Roberts. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
