Robert Landis

Robert L. "Wallbanger" Landis Sr., 61, Center Valley, Monday, October 4 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Rosalie M. "Rose" Landis. They were married for 43 years in August. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Herbert and Stella (Crist) Landis. He worked as an equipment operator for various construction companies in the area and previously worked as mechanic. He attended Springfield Church of the Brethren. He was a former race car driver at Mahoning Valley Speedway and at Dorney Park for a number of years driving both stock and modified racers. Surviving with his wife, sons, Robert L. Jr. and wife Michele; Herb; daughter, Tammy Slotter (Robert Sr.) all of Center Valley; daughter, Connie Billiard (Jon Sr.) of Coopersburg; 11 grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 9, at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Call: 3:00-4:00 pm Sat. in the funeral home.
