Robert Paul Deegan passed away September 28th. He was born in Philadelphia, the son of the late James and Bertha (Osekowski) Deegan. He spent his childhood in Port Richmond and graduated from North Catholic High. He played semi-pro football for the Richmond Redskins. He married Elaine Warchol in 1960 and they celebrated their 50th anniversary last October. He raised his family in Riverton, NJ where he served as a councilman and a member of the zoning board. He spent most of his career in industrial refrigeration sales, where he frequently out sold his company's manufacturing capabilities. After retirement he lived in Villas NJ and Quakertown PA. Bob was a sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent much of his time at his cabin in Bentley Creek, PA or on his boat the "Fragile Fox" off the Jersey Shore. He taught all of his nephews to hunt and fish; as well as his son and grandchildren. He was a member of the Great Swamp Fish and Game Club. In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter Linda and her husband Thomas O'Connor; his four grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah Deegan and Robert and Casey O'Connor; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine & James Cole and Janice & Ken Renn, and sister-in-law Dolores Shaw. He is much beloved by numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Winfield Scott. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wed., October 5th at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Call: 10:00 - 11:00 am Wed. in the church. Jeffrey A.
