Robert S. Benner, 60, of Telford, previously of Quakertown died Thursday, February 17 in his home. He was the husband of Cynthia L. (Donahue) Benner. They were married for 20 years last June. He owned and operated his own plumbing business. Previously, he worked at the U.S. Gauge, Division of Ametek, Sellersville a number of years. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Chester H. and Clara (Gawlinski) Benner. He graduated from Quakertown High School in 1969 and served with the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was exempt member of Quakertown Fire Co. #1. He was a past Battalion Chief and had served with the ambulance corp. Surviving with his wife, son, Andrew of Quakertown; step-sons, Daniel Fluck of Perkasie, Scott Gross of Telford; step-daughter, Angela Naber and husband Michael of Telford; six step grandchildren; brother, William of Quakertown; sister, Kathy Coine and husband Patrick of Mertztown. Memorial service will be held 7:00 pm Friday, Feb. 25th in Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Call: 5:30-7:00 pm Friday. Interment: Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
