Richard D. "Rich" Yerger, Jr., 32, of Quakertown, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He met the love of his life, Christina Stroetker, 17 years ago and was her devoted husband for the last 6 years. Born in Doylestown, he was the son of Richard D. Yerger, Sr. and Paulette (Groh) Yerger, of Quakertown. Rich worked as a gutter installer and general laborer for his family's business, R.D. Yerger, Inc. in Quakertown. He was a lover of music and of animals. Rich also liked anything to do with the outdoors; including hiking, fishing and camping. His first experience camping was with his wife, Christina. Surviving with Christina and his parents is his sister, Nicole Yerger, of Quakertown; his niece, Ryleigh Bush; paternal grandparents, Donald R. Yerger and Constance H. Kehm. He also leaves his father-in-law and mother-in law, John and Pamella Stroetker; sisters-in-law Suzanna Stroetker and Jennifer Dessenberger; niece and nephew Alese and Ingram Dessenberger and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Close Friends; and his 3 cats: Foster, Stewie and Brian. A service for the sharing of memories will be held on Saturday at 3:30 PM in Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, with a visitation time beginning at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Donate Life America, 701 East Byrd Street, 16th Floor, Richmond, VA 23219; or to the Upper Bucks SPCA, 60 Reservoir Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
