Richard D. Morse, 81, of Hellertown, PA., died Wed., Sept. 16th in Saucon Valley Manor. He was the husband of Joan B. (Oyaas) Sanger Morse. They celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on June 27, 1987. Born in Boston, MA he was the son of the late George and Ruth (Durland) Morse. He worked as assistant treasurer and director with the university management audit department at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, NJ. He was a member of the Church of Illumination " Beverly Hall, Quakertown, PA. He was also active with the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; 32nd degree Consistory Valley of Albany; life member of Appollo-King Solomon's Lodge 13 F. & A.M., Troy, NY; American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Surviving: wife, daughters, Martha L. Travostino and Stephanie E. Neufeld both of New Jersey; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Nancy Townsend and Agnes Boyd. A service will be held at the Church of Illumination-Beverly Hall, Quakertown on Sunday, September 27, 2009. Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N.
