Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother Richard "Dick" Galloway, of Quakertown, formerly of Haymarket, VA, died peacefully Thursday, June 25 at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem, PA. Known widely as a humorist, frequently reflecting on the satire evident in everyday life, a musician, with nimble hands passionately moving swiftly across the neck of his guitar, as well as an incredible drive to reflect the realities of nature and nurture through his beautiful works of art. Dick was a gentle and kind soul, a Christian, who generously shared his work, humorous stories, insights and talents without reservation. Most of all, Dick was known for his uncompromising gentleness, his integrity, his commitment to others and his dedication to fairness. Dick's family and avocations were his life. His vocations included managing a drug store and founding his own fire restoration service. In his later years, despite the losses that accumulate with age, he maintained an incredibly positive and loving attitude towards all. Dick is survived by wife Marian Galloway, son, Richard Jr., (Maria) of Quakertown; grandchildren, Sara and Ryan; brothers, Robert, (Tina) of Lady Lake, FL and James (Edie) of Atlanta, GA; sister, Cynthia Smith (Frank) of Manassas, VA. He was preceded in death by father Ellison, mother Doris and brother, Thomas. Viewing will be held 6:00-7:00 PM, Monday June 29th at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown; followed by Memorial Service at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place on Tuesday, 10:30 AM at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown.
