Rachael Bauder

June 3, 1935 — December 18, 2017

Rachael J. (Dries) Bauder, 82, of Quakertown, died Mon., Dec.18 in Above & Beyond Assisted Living Center, Allentown. She was married to the late Roland R. Bauder for 56 years. Born in Zionsville on Jun. 3, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Marlowe (Buchman) Dries. Rachael graduated from Coopersburg High School in June 1953, and married Roland on May 8, 1954. She then accompanied her husband in the US Army to Germany. She was employed by Lehigh Valley Hospital for over 35 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of East Swamp Church in Quakertown. Rachael was a faith-filled, kind, hardworking, generous and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who showed her love for her children and grandchildren daily. She will be dearly missed. Surviving are her sons: Jim of Quakertown; Steve with wife Darlene of Center Valley; Tim with wife Shelley of Coopersburg; daughter, Sue Sheaffer with husband Bryan of Zionsville; Grandchildren: Devon Roberts, Danielle Bauder, Steven and Troy Repyneck, Kaysie Bauder, Dylan and Derek Sheaffer, Mitchell and Caleb Bauder; great-grandsons Aaron and Evan Roberts; brother, Victor Dries, Jr.; and sisters, Victoria Martin and Joanne Anderson. She was preceded in death by brothers John and Harold Dries. Memorial service will be held on Sat., Dec. 23 at 11:00 AM in Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, Ltd., 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in honor of Rachael to the Michael J.
