Quincy D Rogers, 53, of Quakertown, formerly of Philadelphia, died Wed., Nov. 26th at his home. He was the husband of Carolyn (Wilson) Rogers. He worked as Phlebotomist in the community for many years. Quincy also worked in the Philadelphia area as a marble craftsman. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Pearlina (Murphy) Rogers and the late Franklin Rogers. He took part in the upbringing of seven children; his biological children, Quincy Jr. and Hailey, his stepson, Christopher Shepherd, and raised his nephews, Amine Campbell and Emmanuel, Jonathan, and Tiran Rayser for a number of years. He was an incredible dad and number one Eagles fan. He would say, "I'm not a fan, I'm an Eagle! Fly Eagles Fly!" Surviving with his wife and mother are his son, Quincy Jr. and daughter, Hailey, both of Quakertown; stepson, Christopher Shepherd; brothers James F. Rogers, wife Juanetta and Randy Rogers, wife Karen; sisters, Virginia Simmons, Jacqueline Rogers and Gwendolyn Young-El; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Rogers. Services will be held 6:00 PM Fri., Dec. 5th at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Call from 4:30-6:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, it was Quincy's wish that contributions can be made to the family for establishment of a college fund for his children.
