Phillip G. Stewart, age 57, of Center Valley, died peacefully February 5, 2015 at home after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer which he fought gallantly. He was the loving husband of 31 years of Laurie K. (Marmaduke) Stewart. Phil was a native of Detroit, Michigan and also lived in Ohio, Texas, California, Pennsylvania, and Madrid, Spain. He worked for Marathon Oil Company, Oracle Corporation, Halliburton, and Campo Frio during his career in Information Technology. He traveled the world extensively in his career and with his family. Phil was a graduate of the University of Michigan. He was a member of Saucon Valley Country Club and an avid golfer. He also enjoyed woodworking. Surviving family include his wife, Laurie Stewart (Center Valley); daughter, Annie; son Sam; mother, Dorothy Stewart (Rochester Hills, MI); sisters Maryanne Rice (West Bloomfield MI); Nancy Mengel (Chicago, IL); and brother Michael Stewart (Birmingham, MI). Predeceasing Phil in 1995 was his father, Phillip G Stewart, Sr. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 21, at Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Main St., Hellertown. Memorial contributions in his name may be designated to Lehigh Valley Health-Oncology-Patient Advocacy or Lehigh Valley Hospice, both c/o PO Box 4000, Allentown, PA 18105-4000.
