Paul R. Goldbach, 91, of Quakertown, died Wed., May 30 In St. Luke's Hospital- Miners Campus, Lehighton. He was the Husband of the late Geraldine (Bennyhoff) Goldbach who died on Sept. 14, 2004. Born in Lehighton, he was the eighth child of Edward & Emily (Grosser) Goldbach. He worked as a clerk for the Lehigh Valley RR advancing to the level of yardmaster. He resigned from the railroad after 15 years to accept a position as a teacher with the Quakertown Community School District. He taught Latin, Language Arts, ESL, History and Remedial Reading in the middle school for 23 years before retiring in 1985. He attended Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, OH, received his teacher certification from Moravian College. With a Master's Degree from Lehigh University he also served as District Reading specialist and Title I Coordinator. Attending Kutztown University, he received a Masters in Guidance and Counseling. After he retired he worked part time at Station House Furniture, Nicholas Hardware, Countryside Home Center and Acme Markets until complete retirement in 2003. He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Quakertown. Surviving: sisters, Rita Kinn, Marlton, NJ and Angela Tokosh, Nesquehoning; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by infant twin daughters Kathy Lou & Susan Ann and 8 brothers & sisters. Memorial masses will be held at 10 AM Tues, June 5 in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown and 10 AM Thurs, June 7 in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 260 N. 3rd Street, Lehighton. Interment in the parish cemetery, Lehighton.
