Orville H. Fine, 75, of Quakertown died Tuesday, September 27 in his home. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Kahler) Fine. They were married for 52 years in August. Born in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Orville A. and Jean (Skovronski) Fine. He graduated from Newport High School in 1954, continuing his education at Bloomsburg University where he obtained a BS degree in elementary education and a Master's degree from Kutztown University. He worked at Neidig Elementary as a head teacher for 35 years before retiring in 1995. Orville was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Quakertown. He also held membership at Springtown Rod & Gun Club and Hosensack Fish and Game. An avid fisherman, known for his prize catches, he experienced great joy in the outdoors. Surviving with his wife, son, Mark and wife Lauren of Allentown; daughter, Karen Boardman and husband Gary of Coopersburg; daughter, Brenda Benneker and husband Rolf of the Netherlands; son, Ben of Quakertown; grandchildren, Andrew, Megan, Kevin; sister, Nancy Rasmussen and husband Bob of Berlin, NJ; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Marie Kahler of Bloomsburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, October 1st at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Call: 9:30-10:30 am Saturday in the church. Jeffrey A.
