Newton P. Condict, 85, of Quakertown, went home to be with his Lord Friday November 16. Born August 6 1927 in Sellersville, he was the son of late Newton P. and May (Hinkle) Condict. He was the husband of Ethel M. (Stopka) Condict with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage this past April. Newton worked as a machinist for a variety of machine shops for many years before retiring. He graduated from the former Sel-Perk High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and was a true Patriot. Newton was an avid outdoorsman, member of the NRA, loved Gospel music, gardening, and cooking, most of all he loved his family. Surviving with his wife are daughters; Rebecca H. Bray, husband Randy of North Carolina, Deborah F. Bauman, husband Gary of Coopersburg, Julia A. Hufford, husband John of Quakertown, Rachel L. Robinson, husband James of Elverson, PA, and Lydia Condict of Coopersburg. Sons; Newton P. Condict Jr. wife Darlene of Coopersburg, Andrew C. Condict wife Kelly of Saxonburg, PA, Joel A Condict of Quakertown, Jonathan S. Condict wife Cindy of Griffith IN. Sister; Mary Weiss of Quakertown. 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by brother James P. Condict. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am in the Salem Mennonite Church, 41 E. Cherry Rd Quakertown on Wednesday November 21. Calling hour will be from 10:00 until 11:00 in the church. Interment with military honors will be in the Woodland Cemetery Coopersburg immediately following the service.
