Neil Mccurdy

Neil Alan McCurdy, 63, of Coopersburg passed away suddenly on September 28, 2022. He was born in Quakertown on November 9, 1958 to the late Samuel and Mildred (Zuck) McCurdy.

He worked at IGA, Kings, and Weis Markets as a bakery specialist and manager for 45 years before he retired in 2021. Having a passion for collecting depression glass, he started his own business, Hoosier Kubbard Glass where he would travel to other states displaying, selling, and buying depression glass.

Neil was an avid baseball and football fan. In addition to his love for baseball, he spent over 30 years as part of the coaching staff and statistical analyst for the American Legion Baseball, Post 242 of Quakertown.

He loved sports and enjoyed attending sporting events with his family. He was a faithful Phillies, Eagles, Iron Pigs, and Flyers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing games. He will be missed dearly by all.

Neil is survived by his brother Jerry McCurdy of Coopersburg; nephews Todd McCurdy and Scott McCurdy; nieces Tammy Weiss and Christina Wagner; and great nieces & nephews. Neil was preceded in death by his brother David S. McCurdy.

All are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, October 5 from 6-8pm at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951. An additional viewing will be held Thursday, October 6, from 10-11am, as well as a funeral service at 11am. Interment will follow at Quakertown Union Cemetery.
