Mrs. Shirley Laubach

Shirley Ann Laubach, age 77, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away at home on October 29, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was was the wife of Richard W. Laubach Sr., with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Richlandtown, PA she was the daughter of the late Horace A. Schmell and Florence Fulmer Schmell. Shirley graduated from Quakertown High School. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge and St. Johns Lutheran Church in Richlandtown, PA. She enjoyed watching her son Richard race cars, walking, gardening and travel. She was a School Bus Driver for many years for Levy Bus Company. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son Richard Laubach Jr. of Hellertown, PA; one daughter, Lisa Cohen and her husband Harry of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two brothers, Willard Schmell of Oklahoma and Ray Schmell of Quakertown, PA; and two grandchildren, Natasha and Matthew. She was predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth Horace Jr and Gerald and one sister, Arlene. Services will be held privately. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
