Mrs. Joan Morse

JoAn Barbara Oyaas Sanger Morse, age 95, of Hellertown, PA, formerly of Wisconsin died Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown. She was the wife of the late Richard Durland Morse who died in 2009 and with whom she shared 22 years of marriage. Born in Eau Claire City, WI she was a daughter of the late John Oyaas and the late Martha Arnsdorf Oyaas. JoAn graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After earning her Master of Arts from NYU she edited Nursing Research Magazine and retired as Managing Editor of The American Journal of Nursing, NYC, NY. As a Badger, she remained active in the U of W Alumni Association, was a long acting member of the American Association of University Women, and the Village Improvement Association in Doylestown, PA. She was a member of the Church of Illumination in Quakertown, PA. Survivors include her step-children, Nancy Townsend, Martha Lu Morse Travostino, Stephenie Neufeld and eight grandchildren.
