Mr. Patrick Friel

Patrick Friel, age 81, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday February 3, 2020 at his home. He was the husband of late Patricia (Buehler) Friel who died in 2015 and with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was a son of the late Michael Friel and the late Nora (Fitzpatrick) Friel. Patrick served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War. For most of his career he was a courier for United Parcel Service. In recent years, he enjoyed delivering flowers for Dominic Graziano's Florist in Doylestown, PA and Gordon Florist in Chalfont, PA. He was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church in Quakertown. He enjoyed watching Nascar racing, gardening, Wawa coffee and spending time with his family. Survivors include one son, Steven Friel (Christy); one daughter, Trish Gommel (Jeremy); one sister, Nora Friel; one brother, Michael Friel (Joan) and four grandchildren, Noah Gommel, Morgan Friel, Kyle Gommel and Owen Friel. You are invited to visit with Patrick's family and friends from 11AM to 12 Noon Saturday February 8, 2020 at St. Isidores Roman Catholic Church, 2545 W Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951. His memorial mass will follow at 12PM. Interment will be held privately in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA.
