James Merle Kinsey, age 61, of Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Darlene Medwick Kinsey, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. Born in Spangler, Pennsylvania in Cambria County he was the son of the late James William Kinsey and Geraldine Puleo Westfall of Elyria, Ohio. James graduated from Palisades High School in 1976. He was a Field Service Manager for Flexlink a Coesia Company in Allentown, PA for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Luke's UCC in Ottsville, PA. James enjoyed being a PA Announcer for Palisades High School and Northampton Community College, volunteering at the homeless shelter and working the church rummage sales. He loved working with children and making sure people attending events he announced left with good memories. Humor was his greatest tool when dealing with family and friends and always made people laugh. In addition to his wife and mother, James is survived by his three sons, Brandon James, Matthew Ryan and Cody Connor, all of Upper Black Eddy, PA, brother Kris Kinsey of Ohio, and aunt Mary Schuster of Ottsville, PA.
