Alexander "Alex" Johann Prunkel, age 81, of Kintnersville, Pa, died Tuesday November 12, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown, PA. He was the husband of Jacqueline Monnecka Prunkel, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. Born in Stari-Lec Yugoslavia, he was the son of the late Johann Alexander Prunkel and the late Katharina Schwemlein Prunkel. Alex proudly served our country in the United States Navy as a submariner aboard the USS Pomfret from 1961 to 1965. For most of his career, he was a manager at BMW of North America, LLC. in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. His true passion is life was working on cars. He also loved telling dirty jokes, feeding his birds and most of all his English Mastiff Winston. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Hans and his wife Jill of Ottsville, PA and Franz and his wife Carrie of Simpsonville SC; one daughter, Caitlin Ciuffetelli and her husband Michael of Harleysville, PA; five grandchildren, Violet, Leila, Ava, Max and baby Ciuffetelli due May 2020 and two step siblings, Peter Klein and Heidrun Schmidt. He was predeceased by a brother Helmut.
