Mildred C. Schantz, 88, born May 29, 1932, was peacefully called to Heaven on Friday, April 16, 2021, from her home in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late Maggie and Clarence Geissinger and was predeceased by brother, Isaac, and sisters, Ruth and Ada. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Daniel W. Schantz, her son, Thomas (wife Ann) and daughter, Connie. She was the loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren, Nicole, Tad, Brandon, Andrew and Chelsie and 4 great grandchildren, Callen, Millie, Riley and Eli. She was an active partner with Dan in their business, Dan Schantz Farm and Greenhouse, as they farmed fruit and vegetables to sell at retail farm markets and also very active in their greenhouse operations growing seasonal plants and flowers. She enjoyed cooking and hosted many dinner parties and outdoor picnics. She enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her many flowering beds. Dan and she enjoyed travelling, taking many cruises and land trips throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. She was a very active, life long member of Swamp Mennonite Church serving on the church council and many other committees. A celebration of life service will be held at Swamp Mennonite Church, 2125 Rosedale Road, Quakertown, Pennsylvania Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. Friends and Family may call Friday, April 23, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m or Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church. Both viewings will be held at the church. Arrangements are by Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951.
