Matthew Clark Diehl

Matthew Clark Diehl, 93, of Quakertown, PA, passed away on December 31st, 2023, at St. Luke’s Upper Bucks Hospital. Born in Quakertown, Matthew was the son of the late William H. Diehl and the late Anna M. (Clark) Diehl. Matthew is predeceased by his wife, Nancy (Weaver), his son Michael Diehl, his grandson, Joshua Diehl, and his siblings: William H. Diehl Jr, Harold C. Diehl.  Together Matthew and Nancy celebrated 64 years of marriage. 

Matthew graduated from Quakertown High School in 1948. After High School, he proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Matthew then went on to work at Bell Atlantic Corporation and Verizon for many years. Matthew was a lifelong member of the Church of God, and he made an enormous impact in every life he touched. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. In his free time, Matthew enjoyed woodcarving and spending time with his family and friends.  

Matthew will be dearly missed by his children, Thomas (Marian) and Kevin (Fenny); his grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Kaila (Andrew), Brenton, Christina (Israel), Bali Schmidt, Nikki, Ava, Gazelle, and Matthew; and other extended family members.  

A memorial service will be held at West Swamp Mennonite Church, 2501 Allentown Road, Quakertown, PA, 18951, on March 2nd, 2024, at 3:30 PM.
