Mary Smythe

Mary Beth (Regan) Smythe, age 60, passed peacefully Wed. Dec. 30, 2020, at Quakertown Center, after a long battle with ALS. Born June 3, 1960, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward Vincent and Margaret (Headman) Regan. She was a graduate of Kings College with honors. Her friends and family were the cornerstone of all her activities. One of her favorite times was vacationing with family at the New Jersey shore. She loved spending time and going to concerts with her best friend Maureen. She loved her work associates at Gallagher Reporting, where she was the Office Manager. Despite the challenges of ALS, she was able to put a positive spin on life. She was a great listener, and she touched the lives of many people, including nurses and aides at Quakertown Center. Mary Beth is survived by: brother Ed Regan (wife Linda); sister Kathleen Jennings (husband Richard); as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who all loved being with her. Services and interment will be private and at the discretion of the family. A celebration of Mary Beth's life will be held at a later date, with details forthcoming.
