Mary Creticos, 97, of Quakertown, born Aug. 1918, passed away peacefully Sun., Aug. 16th, in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown. She was the loving wife of James Molnar until his passing in 1994. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John and Grace (Yiannopoulos) Creticos. Mary was a spirited woman with a deep passion and respect for her Greek heritage. She served as a pilot in the Women's Aircorp Service Pilots with the Air Force during WW2. She traveled extensively across Europe in her younger years. She earned a degree in Fashion Design from Moore College of Art & Design and was an accomplished seamstress. She later became a realtor and land developer in Quakertown. She was the Founder of the Greek American Heritage Society, and she was active in the Ladies Auxillary, the Quakertown Chamber of Commerce, and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her loving friends, Mary and Greg Anderson and family. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Thurs. Aug. 27th in Jeffrey Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A calling hour will precede the service from 6:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mary's memory to the Quakertown Food Pantry, 101 N. Third St., P.O. Box 278, Quakertown, PA 18951, or to the Richlandtown Fire Company, 125 S. Main St., Richlandtown, PA 18955.
