Martha Bean

Martha V. Bean, 93, formerly of Ottsville, died Mon. Aug. 14th at Hidden Meadows on the Ridge,Sellersville. She was the wife of the late George W. Bean Jr. Born in Revere, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Sallie (Trauger) Morris. She taught elementary school in the Palisades School District for 32 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ferndale. She had a passion for music and was a kind, caring, and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The family would like to thank the staff at Hidden Meadows and Hospice for their excellent care. Surviving are her sons, George Bean (Linda Magill) of Doylestown, and John Bean (Nancy) of Coopersburg; daughter, Linda Hangey (Carl) of Richlandtown; grandchildren, Lisa, Kirk, Chad, James, and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Maranda, and Jonathan. She was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Trauch. Services will be held 10:30 AM Fri. Aug. 18th at Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A calling will precede the service from 10:00-10:30 AM. Interment in Nockamixion Union Cemetery, Ferndale.
